Digital Desk: Today, a severe fire started in Jalukbari at Guwahati around 1 AM. A streetlight short-circuit triggered the fire at this location. The short circuit started when telecom wires hanging from the streetlight burned completely. A journalist rushed to the fire site to notify both the fire department and the electricity department to disconnect the power supply. Pandu Fire Department reached the area within half an hour and successfully controlled the blaze. Fortunately, the nearby pharmacy was saved from the fire.
