The proposal seeks to add two floors to the six-storey annexe behind the residence, increasing the built-up area by 616.02 square meters.

Digital Desk: Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan together with his family will relocate from their famous Mannat place to a Pali Hill Bandra luxury apartment because extensive work needs to be done to their sea-facing heritage property at Mannat. The Mannat annex refurbishment extending with two additional floors requires two years to finish.
therefore, Shah Rukh Khan's family temporarily will move to Pali Hill.

The Khan family is scheduled to live in their Pali Hill luxury apartment during the whole renovation period. Red Chillies Entertainment headed by Shah Rukh Khan obtained a leave and license agreement from Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh who are children of film producer Vashu Bhagnani to occupy four floors within Pujaa Casa luxury residential complex. The real estate payment for this space amounts to ₹24 lakh per month.

The house extensions for Mannat are scheduled to begin construction during the following two years. In November 2018 Gauri Khan approached the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) to enhance Mannat annex with two extra floors. The proposed addition will double the six-storey annexe structure for the residence by constructing two more floors which raise the built-up space to 616.02 square meters.

Mannat carries a Grade III heritage classification therefore any structural modifications need permission approval before initiation. The estimated budget for this development project amounts to Rs 25 crore.

The expansion project would result in a 616.02 square meter addition to the built-up area.
The building arrangements at Mannat include two basement floors followed by the ground floor and six upper stories. The Khan family seeks to expand Mannat by building seventh and eighth floor levels.
