The two brave women, Rekha Bora and Makon Bora said that they requested the Jorhat Forest Department with a written letter to install a trap cage in the affected area.

Digital Desk: Women with strength and courage always set high examples for people to be inspired. In such an act of bravery and valor, two women from Assam's Jorhat district successfully captured a leopard that had been causing panic and fear among the residents of Khongia village.

The wild cat had killed several livestock before he was trapped by the women.

The two brave women, Rekha Bora and Makon Bora said that they requested the Jorhat Forest Department with a written letter to install a trap cage in the affected area.

Rekha Bora said that the leopard was causing terror in their village and it killed many of their livestock. Due to the Forest Department's inaction, Makon and she decided to catch the leopard, Rekha added.

However, the Forest Department eventually decided to provide a trap cage in the village. Both Rekha and Makon arranged for a goat to use as bait with the help of their villagers.

They set the trap for the wild animal on April 30, and after waiting for four days in a row, the leopard was finally trapped on May 4.

Rekha and Makon's initiative to protect their village shows how every woman can be a positive force in making the world a better place.
