Despite the gruesome incident, Yadav's family has not yet filed a formal complaint. However, police are investigating the incident.

Digital Desk: A Bharatiya Janata Party leader was killed by three unidentified men after they injected him with a poisonous substance in Sambhal district, Uttar Pradesh on Monday afternoon. The BJP leader, identified as Gulfam Singh Yadav, was also the former regional vice president of BJP's western Uttar Pradesh unit. Following the incident, Yadav was rushed to the hospital but couldn't survive.

The incident took place while the 60-year-old leader was sitting at his farm in Daftara village. The three assailants arrived on a bike, exchanged greetings, and inquired about his health. The men also asked for water and drank it.

After that, they injected the poisonous substance into his stomach and fled the scene. Yadav's family got to know about the incident when he screamed in pain. His son informed the police and rushed him to the nearest hospital. The doctors referred him to Aligarh Medical College, but he succumbed on the way.

Gulfam Singh Yadav contested the 2004 bypoll from the Gunnaur Assembly constituency against the late Samajwadi Party chief and former UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
