Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped and robbed by two men at knifepoint while she was with her cousin in Pune, Maharashtra, police said on Monday. As per reports, the two men forced the woman to get intimate with her cousin and filmed the act before raping and robbing her on Saturday night.

The accused, identified as Amol Pote (25) and Kishore Kale (29) were arrested by the police within a few hours of the incident on Saturday.

The incident occurred when the woman was sitting with her cousin at an isolated place near Shirur tehsil of the western Maharashtra.

A senior police inspector of Ranjangaon police station said that the accused men in their mid and late 20s, arrived on a motorbike and threatened the duo at knifepoint. They forced them to get intimate while filming the act on a phone. The accused then raped the woman and robbed her gold nose ring and a gold pendant before fleeing the scene.
After the incident, the woman called the police control room by dialing 112 and reported the incident.

Despite their efforts to flee from the spot, the police team successfully traced the accused and arrested them.

The police officer further said that a crime branch team reached the victim and immediately registered an offence after receiving the call from her. After getting the descriptions of the accused, the team took swift action and launched a manhunt. Both the accused were tracked down based on the description provided by the victim and her cousin within two hours.
