Digital Desk: A shocking incident has been reported in Kaplabari of Mukalmua, where a youth identified as Jeherul Islam was brutally assaulted by a group of around seven miscreants.
The attack, which took place under the pretext of a dispute over a vehicle EMI payment, has sparked widespread outrage in the area.
According to the victim, a resident of Ghorathal, the attackers mercilessly beat him before forcibly snatching Rs 25,000 in cash and fleeing the spot.
Jeherul Islam has identified three of the primary suspects as Nasir Ali, Khalek Ali, and Tafiz Ali.
While an FIR has been lodged at the Mukalmua Police Station, the victim has raised serious concerns regarding the progress of the investigation.
He alleged that despite the presence of CCTV cameras in nearby business establishments, the police have not yet carried out any proper investigation.
The victim has demanded that the police conduct a proper probe and arrest the culprits at the earliest.
