New Delhi: Food-delivery platform Zomato’s Co-founder Gaurav Gupta quits the company after six years.


Gupta resigned just a day after Zomato announced it was shutting down grocery delivery, which Gupta launched earlier.


In an email to employees, Gupta wrote, “I am taking a new turn in my life, the last six years at zomato.”


“It is time for me to take an alternate path as Zomato had a great team to take it forward now.” Gupta wrote.


Confirming about the exit, CEO Deepinder Goyal wrote, “Thank you, GG, for everything you have helped Zomato achieve over the last few years.”


Gupta, the Head of Supply, joined Zomato six years ago in 2015 and was later elevated to Co-Founder in 2019 to focus on launching the company’s nutrition business.
