After doctors discovered lung involvement due to Covid-19, the 92-year-old melody queen was moved to the ICU. Her health state continued to fluctuate while she was receiving rigorous therapy, according to the doctors, and she remained in the ICU.

She was on a ventilator and got critically ill on Saturday after contracting sepsis. "She presented as a Covid-19 patient and was treated accordingly. She was discharged from the Covid-19 ward. Her age and Covid issues concerning her lungs, on the other hand, were deterrents. "We gave it our all, but we couldn't rescue her," Dr. Santhanam added.

Lata Mangeshkar had previously been taken to the same hospital in November 2019 for pneumonia treatment. She then developed lung problems and spent over 28 days in the hospital before being released.
