‘The Kashmir Files’: Baba Ramdev appeals to the filmmaker to release the movie on YouTube

On Thursday, during an assembly session, Kejriwal criticized the decision to make the film tax-free and suggested that the filmmaker should simply upload it on YouTube for free viewing by all.

Digital Desk: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev appeals to the ‘The Kashmir Files’ filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri to make the film available on YouTube and Facebook so that everyone can learn about what happened in Kashmir in 1990.

In an interview with Times Now, Baba Ramdev stated that the film has earned a lot of money and that it is now time to upload it on social media platforms. “Everyone should know what happened in Kashmir,” Ramdev said.

“The Kashmir Files,” directed by Vivek Agnihotri, is about the forced exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from their native state after Pakistan-backed militants targeted the community in the early 1990s.

Further, when asked about the film, Baba Ramdev stated that he did not have time to watch it but that he had heard that it accurately depicted the sufferings of Kashmiri Pandits.

When asked if he was repeating what Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said about the film’s release on YouTube, Ramdev stated that he does not speak the language of any political party. “I speak from the perspective of ordinary people. “All I want is for everyone to watch the movie,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal insisted that the film should be uploaded on YouTube and that any profits earned from it should be used for the welfare of the Kashmiri Pandits.

“We demand that the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ be uploaded in YouTube. The proceeds should be used to benefit Kashmiri Pandits,” Kejriwal said at the post-budget press conference.

On Thursday, during an assembly session, Kejriwal criticized the decision to make the film tax-free and suggested that the filmmaker should simply upload it on YouTube for free viewing by all.
