Digital Desk: Adipurush's trailer was released on Tuesday afternoon. Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is based on the classic Ramayana story and it stars Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. Lankesh, the film's antagonist, is played by Saif Ali Khan. The trailer starts with a voiceover introducing us to Raghav's (Prabhas) character. The three-minute clip perfectly captures the essence of the Ramayana. The trailer includes glimpses of some of the most crucial episodes from the Ramayana, including the Sitaharan scene (with Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Kriti Sanon as Janaki), Hanuman carrying Sanjeevani Buti, and the construction of the Ram Setu. The trailer concludes with a scene of Saif Ali Khan laughing evilly. The film will depict the epic battle between Raghav and Lankesh.

The film's lead actor, Prabhas, shared the trailer on social media with the caption, "Hari Anant, Hari Katha Ananta. Adipurush Trailer out now! Adipurush in cinemas worldwide on June 16."

The magnum opus is set to be released in theatres in IMAX and 3D on June 16 of this year. The film was directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.

Adipurush will be released in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film was originally scheduled to be released on August 11, last year. However, the release date was postponed to prevent a clash with Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, for which the actor expressed gratitude to the creators of Adipurush.
