Prag Cine Awards-2022' was held at DSA Stadium, Silchar, on Saturday (March 26) with the motto 'Luit-Barak Ekakar.'
The Prag Cine Awards created a new history in the soil of Barak with the amalgamation of artists from Bollywood, Tollywood and Jollywood at the DSA stadium. Thousands of spectators witness the Northeast's biggest award show. Bollywood's actress Rakhi Sawant, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta from Tollywood and heartthrob Zubeen Garg, National award winner Seema Biswas and other celebrities attended the award show.
Winners of the Prag Cine Awards for the year 2020-21was announced at the award ceremony. For 2020, Monoj Barkakati won the Best Actor, while the Best Actress award for the year goes to Shivarani Kalita. On the other hand, Baharul Islam won the 2020 Best Supporting Actor award for 'Goru,' and Pankhi Kashyap won the Best Supporting Actress award for the film 'Tumi Malala.' In addition, 'Jolsobi,' directed by Jaicheng Jai Dohutia, won the 2020 Best Screenplay Award.
Moreover, the Best Cinematography award for 2020 has been won by Shida Bora and Jaicheng Jai Dohutia. Jun Khaund won the Best Editing Awards for 2020; Amrit Pritam won the Best Sound Mixing award. The Best Art Direction award goes to Dipankar Das and Ashrut Kashyap and Aimee Baruah gets the Jury's special award. The Best Costume designer ward goes to Mandira Gogoi.

Best Editing award for 2021 goes to Kaju and Best Sound Mixing Award goes to Janardhan Patowary.
Saurabh Baishya and Kaushik Nath have been conferred with the best art-direction award for 2021. On the other hand, the Best Jury Award for 2021 goes to Barsha Bahar. In addition, 'Biju Phukan A Life in Cinema' has been selected as the Best Book on Film. Moreover, Chandra Shekhar Das has been conferred with the Best Debut Director Award.
The initiative to unite the Luit and Barak and to bring peace in the valley was taken by the owner and Chief Managing Director of AM Television Pvt. Ltd Dr. Sanjive Narain.
