Karan Johar once addressed Mahesh Bhatt a "Careless Director"
Digital Desk: Karan Johar, a well-known Bollywood filmmaker and producer, is known for his ability to create enchantment on screen. Apart from that, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Pandey, and a slew of other celebrities consider the director to be their Godfather.

Karan has a soft spot for Alia Bhatt, as evidenced by the fact that he took her under his wing and gave her a significant break through SOTY. Did you know, though, that the filmmaker had a falling out with Alia's father, Mahesh Bhatt? Johar has previously blamed Bhatt for causing his father, Yash Johar, to suffer.

In an old interview from 1998, Karan Johar revealed his dissatisfaction with director Mahesh Bhatt. Karan claimed that he was dissatisfied with the director of Lahu Ke Do Rang's efforts on the film Duplicate. For the uninitiated, the film duplicate, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Sonali Bendre, was produced by Dharma Productions, which was controlled by Karan's father Yash Johar at the time.

"I had nothing to do with it," Karan Johar said regarding the film in the same interview. In fact, I kept a purposeful and conscious distance from it. Only Shah Rukh Khan's passion to the project allowed it to be accomplished. "Everything else about it was wrong." "This is not the way to make a film," Karan added, "and I am unhappy that my father had to go through the pain and sorrow of creating such a film in which the filmmaker had no interest beyond a cursory interest."

Naming Bhatt as 'not a responsible director', Karan said, "He was careless and took virtually no interest in the making of the film. If it was not for Shah Rukh and the way he took charge of the film, it would never have been completed".

In the meantime, Karan and Mahesh are getting along swimmingly!

On the professional front, Karan Johar is now working on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, his upcoming film. Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi will act in the film.
