Digital Desk: It was recently claimed that comedian Samay Raina has invited the ex-husband of Kusha Kapila Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia to have him be a judge for his show India’s Got Latent. A list that possibly contains guest names for the next episodes going viral has Zorawar’s name along with other celebrity names such as Farah Khan, Vishal Dadlani, Bhuvan Bam, Mukesh Chhabra, and many more. If true, this would be the first time Zorawar and Samay have worked together publicly after the roast episode that brought both him and Kusha fame.
Earlier last year, Kusha Kapoor’s husband, Samay, was making crude jokes about Kusha and Zorawar’s divorce during a roasting show by Ashish Solanki. The jokes that revolved around their lives provoked an uproar on social media. In her YouTube community post after the concert, Kusha said that she did not know about some of these jokes, describing some of them as ‘shockingly unkind’ and ‘dehumanizing.’. She said that she went to the roast to support a friend but that she should have previewed the material. After that, Kusha unfriended Samay on social media and socially isolated herself from the event.
Despite that, the appearance of Zorawar on India’s Got Lalent could reopen debate on roast and its consequences. The fans of the show have questioned whether his involvement is toward rectifying past wrongs or just work. Kusha and
Zorawar, who were engaged for several years and got married in 2017, filed for divorce last year. They also still have to contend with the focus they and their families receive because both remain prominent contributors in their respective industries.
As for Zorawar’s appearance, the addition could add a new layer to India’s Got Latent, which is only recently finding its footing due to a mix of celebrity judges and fresh talent.
