Digital Desk: The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will end on a historic note as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS)are set to lock horns against each other in the final on June 3.

RCB have already advanced to the final on May 29, defeating table topper PBKS by 8 wickets at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur.
In the Playoffs 2, PBKS defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) in Ahmedabad on June 1 and will now face RCB in the final.
Last night, PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer led his team from the front and crushed MI by 5 wickets.
Shreyas dominated the field with an unbeaten 87 runs off 41 balls and chased down the target of 204 runs.
Both finalists, RCB and PBKS, have never won a single IPL trophy in the history of the cash-rich tournament.
One of the teams will now break the trophy drought and become the new champion in the IPL's history.
