The actor from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham claimed that for her, attraction comes first and understanding later.
Digital Desk: On the most recent episode of the What the Hell Navya podcast, Navya Naveli Nanda, her mother Shweta Bachchan, and her grandmother Jaya Bachchan discussed contemporary relationships. Jaya discussed the definition of love in modern society and claimed that the younger generation is unaware of what true love is.
The actor from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham claimed that for her, attraction comes first and understanding later. "Attraction is very essential to me. It is the initial action. The next action is not taken if you are not attracted to someone. Getting noticed is crucial. After knowing and sorting out the excellent from the bad, weigh which is better," she added.
Holding hands doesn't signify togetherness, Jaya remarked when discussing how the meaning of love has evolved. “There are numerous different meanings for being together. Much deeper and with greater dedication. I'm not sure if the current generation is prepared to make that type of commitment, “she stated.
"Today, the meaning of love has altered. I believe that love nowadays is not something you discover after you get attracted to someone, at least not for us. If, as you're learning, you realise that while I'm attracted, I don't think this is going to work," she added.
Jaya also discussed how being in multiple relationships continuously leaves one with nothing to give to the next person. "Marriage is not an issue, but even in a relationship, every time you are in a relationship, you give so much away. When you meet someone new, you might say, "Oh, this one is wonderful," but if you've already dealt with a portion of that emotion with others, what fresh insight can you offer that person? "None," she said.
Jaya talked about how a relationship needs to be physically compatible to succeed in the episode. “People might find it offensive coming from me, but compatibility and physical attractiveness are essential. We were not able to experiment in our time. But the younger generation does, and why shouldn't they? After all, it's part of what makes relationships survive a lifetime. It won't endure very long if there isn't a physical connection. Love, fresh air, and modifications are simply insufficient to sustain you," she stated.
Every Saturday, Navya releases new episodes.
