Digital Desk: At least 11 individuals, including six cabin crew members, experienced dizziness and nausea during an Air India flight from London to Mumbai on Monday.

Air India acknowledged the incident but clarified that only five passengers and two crew members reported feeling unwell.

The cause of the illness is currently under probe.

A suspected case of food poisoning disrupted the flight, causing several individuals to fall ill mid-air.

Two passengers and two crew members continued to feel unwell after the flight's safe landing in Mumbai.

They were rushed to the airport's medical facility for further evaluation and later discharged after receiving treatment.

Fortunately, the pilots of the Air India flight were unaffected as their meals were served separately and after passengers.

Experts suggest that factors such as poor oxygen supply, which can lead to hypoxia, or food poisoning could potentially trigger such symptoms during flights.
