Digital Desk: Aamir Khan broke down when he talked about his early years, when his family was in debt and he struggled in school. In a recent interview, Aamir discussed how he and his siblings would frequently be late with their school payments. He explained that once they received one or two warnings, the principal would name them before the school assembly.

The film producer, Tahir Hussain, and his wife, Zeenat Hussain, are the parents of Aamir. He is the oldest of his three older brothers, Nikhat Khan and Farhat Khan. Aamir in Yaadon Ki Baaraat featured Aamir in a role as a young actor (1973). His first leading role as an adult was in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), costarring Juhi Chawla. Aamir was only ever under Tahir's direction once, in the 1990 movie Tum Mere Ho.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Aamir discussed his early years, during which his family went through a difficult period lasting eight years and was in debt. The cost of attending school back then was $6 for the sixth standard, $7 for the seventh standard, $8 for the eighth standard, and so on. Aamir and his siblings, meanwhile, "were always late paying their tuition." The principal would call their names during an assembly in front of the entire school after one or two warnings.  Over the years, Aamir has been in numerous movies and received praise and numerous honours. In addition to numerous others, he appeared in Raakh (1989), Dil (1990), Raja Hindustani (1996), Sarfarosh (1999), Lagaan (2001), Rang De Basanti (2006), Taare Zameen Par (2007), Ghajini (2008), 3 Idiots (2009), Dhoom 3 (2013), PK (2014), and Dangal (2016).

Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir's first film in four years, will mark his following public appearance. The authorized Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump, which won the 1994 Academy Award for Best Picture, is titled Laal Singh Chaddha and is directed by Advait Chandan. The film also stars Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh, and Kareena Kapoor.
