Digital Desk: The third wave of covid is at its peak in India right now. With an increasing number of covid cases every day in India and the state, the government is taking every prudent step to curb the increasing pace of the virus. Today, Sibsagar MLA Akhil Gogoi announced that he, along with his entire family, has tested positive for covid-19 However, the Raijor Dol president stated that he was tested Negative at the Rapid Antigen Test. Also Read: By 2030, 2050, 2085 J&K, Himachal may witness a rise in temperature: Study The Raijor Dal president stated in a video, "All of my family members, including myself, have been suffering from fever since Friday evening and we were also feeling a little chilly. As a result, we had our COVID levels checked this morning. Surprisingly, my son and wife both tested positive, but I came back negative." Gogoi further stated that the leader did not leave his house throughout the Bihu celebrations and did not take part in any bihu programme or other party-related activities. However, because members of his family have tested positive for covid-19, the Sibasagar MLA has decided to undergo a routine RT-PCR test to determine whether he is COVID positive or not. According to Gogoi in the video, the results of the RT-PCR test will be available to him on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi has opted to postpone all of his official and party-related activities for at least 5 days, if not longer.
