Guwahati: Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON) 's bank account has been hacked, reports said.

As per the reports, a total of Rs. 2.57 crores have been allegedly looted by AMTRON's account officer Rahul Huzuri through online hacking.

The bank account of Bank of Maharashtra, Panbazar branch was hacked on November 8 and transferred the huge amount to some other company that was to be actually received by a company named Tarasis.

A mail was sent to bank authorities from the mail id of Rahul Huzuri on November 8. However, Huzuri denied all the allegations against him and stated that his mail account had been hacked, of which he is unaware.

On the contrary, AMTRON officials said that they were unknown of the transaction.

A case has been registered against Rahul Huzuri under 120(B)/406/420/409 and 66 IT ACT of the Indian Penal Code. CID has been interrogating Huzuri in its headquarter.
