Cachar: The District Magistrate of Cachar issued directives to extend the night curfew for another two months due to the tension prevailing at the border.


The night curfew shall be maintained in the borders from evening till morning, stated the directive issued by the district magistrate of Cachar.


The notice also states that fishing shall remain banned amid the curfew hours in the Surama River during these two months of restriction.

Earlier, the border feud took an ugly turn, leading to the death of 6 Assam Police personnel and one civilian at the Cachar district Assam-Mizoram border area.
