New Delhi: There seems to be no end to the rising fuel prices in the country. On Sunday, the price of petrol and diesel increased again for the fifth consecutive time after a pause of two days this week.

According to the latest update, the oil marketing companies have increased prices of fuel by INR 35 paise per litre. With this, the price of petrol in the national capital New Delhi have reached INR 109.34 per litre, and diesel INR 98.07 per litre.

In the financial capital Mumbai, a litre of petrol is being sold at INR 115.5 per litre, whereas diesel is priced at INR 106.23 per litre.

In Chennai, a litre of petrol can be bought at INR 106.04 and diesel at 102.25 per litre.

However, in the eastern city of Kolkata, petrol prices have been increased by INR 33 paise and diesel by 35 paise. With this petrol is sold at INR 109.79 and diesel at 101.19 respectively.

Fuel prices also differ state to state depending on local taxes.

Apart from petrol, the LPG prices are also likely to increase this week.
