Digital Desk: Indian Railways cancelled around 400 trains on Sunday due to operational issues. According to the railways, 371 trains have been cancelled entirely, and 57 have been cancelled for today (February 20). The cancelled trains in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Assam, among other states. In addition, due to fog on Thursday, 13 Delhi-bound trains were postponed. On Thursday, a thick fog covered Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam, according to the Indian Meteorological Department At 0830 IST, dense fog was observed over Delhi (Palam 50m), Punjab (Amritsar 50m), Haryana (Karnal and Hissar 50m each), UP (Lucknow 50m), northwest MP (Gwalior 50m), Bihar (Patna and Gaya 50m), Sub Himalayan West Bengal (Cooch Behar 50m), and Assam (Dhubri 50m), according to the IMD. The Railway authorities have asked travelers to visit enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/mntes or download the NTES app for more details on the trains' actual arrival and departure duration. As per the national transporter, if you purchased tickets via IRCTC, you do not need to cancel your e-ticket if your train is canceled by the railroads because the ticket will be immediately revoked. You will receive a reimbursement in 3 to 7 days. However, if you purchased tickets through the PRS counter, you must collect them by going to the PRS counter and completing the necessary paperwork. Follow the steps to check the complete list of trains that have been cancelled by Indian Railways for operational reasons:
  • Check https://enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/mntes/ for further information. and choose your journey's duration
  • On the top panel of the screen, choose Exceptional Trains and then Cancelled Trains.
  • To show a complete list of trains, including time, routes, and other information, choose Fully or Partially.
  • Set the date from the drop-down menu to February 20 to see a list of affected trains on Sunday.
