Fully vaccinated adults entering the state were previously exempted from mandatory testing for the virus through an earlier order.

All passengers entering the state vaccinated with both vaccine doses were released from compulsory testing by a previous notification. But, passengers who are vaccinated with a single dose or are symptomatic even after taking both doses have to undergo compulsory RT-PCR testing at their own cost on arrival.

The orders are appropriate for people entering the state through airports, railway stations, road border points, etc., the notification added.

The exceptions have been given due to declining COVID-19 positivity rate in the state and the nation . It is also due to the increasing the number of vaccinated people, the order further stated.
