Digital Desk: Actor R Madhavan is overjoyed after his son Vedaant Madhavan won five gold medals in swimming at the Malaysian invitational age group championships.

With God's grace and all your good wishes, Vedaant gets 5 golds for India (50 m, 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, and 1500m) with 2 PB's at the Malaysian invitational age group championships, 2023, held this weekend in Kuala Lumpur," the actor wrote on Instagram. "I am overjoyed and grateful."

This is not Vedaant's first big competition win; he has been on a winning streak for the last few years, winning many medals and renowned tournaments.

Vedaant, who represented Team Maharashtra at the Khelo India 2023 event in February of this year, won five gold medals and two silver medals.

Vedaant won the 1500-meter freestyle swimming discipline at the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships last July, breaking the national junior swimming record.
