Digital Desk: "Jnanada: Reflections of Light and Shade," a short documentary about legendary actress Jnanada Kakati, won the "Best Documentary Award" at the 13th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2023, held on April 30 in Noida.
Earlier, it received the "Special Jury Mention Award" in the short documentary category at the "15th Jaipur International Film Festival" on January 6 in Jaipur.
It also won the "Special Jury Award" for Best Film on Women at the "Indian Independent Film Festival, edition February-March 2023" (Associate Festival Partner Creative Asia Group, Hongkong).
Moreover, it has also been officially selected for screening at the "Liber Films International Festival 2023" in Greece and the "WRPN Women's International Film Festival 2023" in Delaware, United States.
The documentary was directed by Bobbeeta Sharma. Chinmoy Sharma and Bobbeeta Sharma produced it under the banner of Sangita Advertising. The script is written by Jimoni Choudhury. Ravindra Badgaiyan is the creative director and editor of the short film while the camera is handled by Sharad Kumar Verma.
