Digital Desk: Former US President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, as per reports. He entered the plea during a brief arraignment in a lower Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday, as prosecutors released a grand jury indictment. The charges arise from a hush money payment made to a porn actor during Trump's 2016 campaign. A stone-faced Trump entered the courtroom soon before 2:30 p.m. without saying anything.
He faces charges, including at least one felony charge, in connection with hush money payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 campaign.
Trump is the first sitting or former US President, to face criminal charges. A Manhattan grand jury indicted him last week in connection with a 2016 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, though the particular charges have yet to be disclosed.

Trump's attorney, Joe Tacopina, said the former president's appearance in court for the arraignment on Tuesday would be brief because the procedure "doesn't take long."
"It won't be a long day in court," he said on ABC's "Good Morning America."
New York Police Are On High Alert
New York police said they were ready for large protests by Trump supporters, who believe the New York grand jury indictment and three other pending investigations are politically motivated and intended to weaken his bid to retake the White House in 2024. However, journalists frequently outnumber protestors.
Rally in Support of Trump
People started gathering in a park outside the courthouse where the former president is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday morning for a rally in support of Donald Trump.
The rally with Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was set to begin several hours before Trump's court appearance.
Some anti-Trump demonstrators also showed up, waving a big banner that read, "Trump Lies All the Time."
Trump supporters are also anticipated to gather at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Tuesday night as he returns.
