New Delhi: France promised to help Prime Minister Narendra Modi's concept of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" and defense industrialization, joint study, and technology advancement in India, said the Indian embassy in Paris.
As part of the yearly India-France Strategic Dialogue, the national security advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met Emmanuel Bonne, diplomatic advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron.
Doval further met French foreign diplomat Jean-Yves Le Drian and defense minister Florence Parly.
"France termed its alliance with India as a significant support of its Indo Pacific policy," the Indian embassy stated.
"The two countries reaffirmed that their vital partnership has an indispensable role to play in promoting peace, stability, and safety in the Indo Pacific region," it appended.

According to the embassy, the two parties discussed the global security situation, including modern progress and long-term challenges in the Indo Pacific region, the Afghanistan circumstances, and the ongoing challenge of terrorism.
"Growing warnings in maritime, cyber, and space realms were further addressed throughout the dialogue," the embassy stated.
It stated that the democratic forces and a general idea in strategic autonomy, the course of law, multipolarity, and multilateralism had been the source of the common trust and cooperation within the two countries.
The embassy reckoned that the two countries acknowledged that the emerging courses in global affairs strengthen the requirement for closer cooperation between India and France, including in the UNSC and additional UN discussions.
