Digital Desk: Five bodies have been recovered from the helicopter crash site in Nepal. Previously, aviation authorities reported on Tuesday that a private commercial helicopter carrying six people aboard, including five Mexican nationals, went missing in the Mount Everest area in Nepal.

Reportedly, the Manang Air chopper 9N-AMV departed from Surke Airport in Solukhumbu district at 10:04 a.m. for Kathmandu.

The manager at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Gyanendra Bhul, said that the chopper lost communication at an altitude of more than 12,000 feet at 10:13 a.m.

Reportedly, five of the six passengers were Mexican nationals whose identities have not yet been revealed.

"It has been reported that the helicopter of Manang Air is out of contact; there is no contact with the tower when it reached the Lamjura pass, it was reported that the helicopter only received a 'hello' message on Viber, the search is underway," said TIA spokesperson Teknath Sitaula.

Manang Air is a helicopter airline based in Kathmandu that was founded in 1997.

It has been flying helicopters in commercial air transportation within Nepalese territory under the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal's regulations.

The company is also known for providing chartered services and specializes in personalized services such as adventure flights, helicopter tours, and expedition work.
