Ukraine envoy tells UN that Russia has 'declared war'
Digital Desk: Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, has "declared war on Ukraine," according to Ukraine's envoy to the United Nations.

He also demanded that his Russian counterpart state that Russia would not shell or bomb Ukrainian cities.

If Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia cannot provide a constructive response, Ukrainian Ambassador Sergiy Kyslytsya suggested on Wednesday night that Russia should relinquish the Security Council presidency, which Russia currently holds.

The Ukrainian then requested another Security Council emergency meeting, urging the UN body to "stop the conflict because it's too late to talk about de-escalation."

Kyslytsya then asked if he should show a video of Putin announcing the start of military operations in Ukraine.

Nebenzia responded, " "This isn't referred to be a war. In Donbas, this is referred to as a special military operation."
