Have a look at how to avoid Nicotine Urges!

Remember that quitting smoking requires changing your daily routines so that you can train your brain to function without nicotine.

Digital Desk: Make yourself think that you are going to smoke the last cigarette of the day because you've decided to stop smoking. What's the next step you should follow, then?

You will need to keep two things in mind: first, your brain will need to adjust to not having nicotine, and second, you will need to develop daily routines that do not include smoking.

But how do you survive the first few hours after quitting?

"You should start making plans before you quit," said Coral Arvon, a former smoker and Behavioral Health Specialist at the Pritikin Longevity Center in Miami.

First, please list the reasons you want to quit smoking, such as to avoid health problems and keep it in your cigarette box. Then, try to stop when you can prevent significant stress for at least a week or two."

Nicotine is the primary addictive drug in tobacco, making it difficult to quit. Cigarettes are made to deliver nicotine to your brain quickly. Nicotine causes the release of chemicals that make you happy.

According to WebMD, quitting smoking reduces your heart rate and blood pressure within 20 minutes. In addition, carbon monoxide levels in the body return to normal within 12 hours, and your circulation system improves within a few weeks. But keep an eye out for nicotine withdrawal symptoms:

    1- Nervousness

    2- Crankiness

    3- Headache

    4-Sleeping problems

    5- Exhaustion

    6- Starvation

Try to resist the temptation to smoke by following the National Cancer Institute's advice -

Try nicotine replacement products or consult your doctor.

Continue to remind yourself that these cravings will pass.

Avoid situations and activities that you associate with smoking, such as smoking at parties with drinks or coffee/tea.

Try the following exercise: Breath deeply through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth. Rep 10 times more.

Consume carrots, pickles, apples, celery, hard candy, sugar-free gum, almonds, foxnuts, or sunflower seeds to satisfy your craving. Dieting is harmful to the body and should be avoided.
