Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge gets Z-plus security cover following intelligence report

Digital Desk: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has been accorded Z-plus security cover in response to a concerning threat perception report from Central Intelligence agencies, as revealed by sources. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be responsible for overseeing and implementing security measures to ensure Kharge's safety amid growing apprehensions.

This decision follows heightened tensions and perceived threats to Kharge's well-being, prompting authorities to proactively address the situation. The move signifies a concerted effort to safeguard the prominent political figure in the face of potential threats.

The security escalation comes on the heels of Kharge's bold criticisms during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Amethi. Taking a strong stance against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he accused them of fostering animosity and predicted a challenging electoral outcome for the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Kharge, in his address, dismissed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious target of securing over 400 seats, deeming it unrealistic. He also condemned the BJP for alleged negligence in developmental projects in Amethi and Rae Bareli, accusing them of deliberately impeding progress and inciting discord among the local populace by citing incomplete projects as evidence.
