Bharat Jodo Yatra Supporters Dance Shirtless In Cold Wave: Watch the video

Digital Desk: Supporters of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra danced shirtless on top of a bus surrounded by deep fog as the long march proceeded in Haryana's Karnal district on Sunday morning.

A video shows a group of over ten young men wearing pink turbans and dancing shirtless on top of a bus fleet while brandishing yatra flags.

The young men appear to be defying the temperature in the same way that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been walking in a white t-shirt and pants even as North India is gripped by a cold wave.

When asked why he chose this specific outfit, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the cross-country march, answered, "They (journalists) constantly ask me how I stay warm. They do not, however, ask this question to the farmer, the worker, or the underprivileged children."

Mr. Gandhi's unexpected choice of attire in the cold winter has been a topic of discussion since the yatra arrived in the national capital on December 24.

The yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanyakumari, is now in Haryana. The long march has taken in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi so far.
The yatra will soon move to Punjab and finally reach Jammu and Kashmir.
