Gandhi added that the nation's voice was being amplified by his ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra, a mass engagement campaign.
Digital Desk: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi claimed on Monday that both the Rajasthan Chief Minister of that state and his former deputy, Sachin Pilot, are assets to the party despite their ongoing power struggle.
Gandhi, a Lok Sabha member from Wayanad in Kerala, said during a press conference held close to Indore that he will decide whether to contest again from Amethi after one or one and a half years.
“My current attention is on the Bharat Jodo Yatra, " he stated.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Union Minister Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, the hometown of his family.
He said, "It will not affect the yatra and both the leaders are assets to the Congress party," in response to a question about the many statements Rajasthan leaders Gehlot and Pilot have made amid their power struggle.
Gandhi replied, "I don't want to give any headline to the media as at present my attention is on the Bharat Jodo Yatra," when asked if he would like to contest again from Amethi.
"After a year or one and a half years, the answer to your question on the matter will come," he replied.
Gandhi responded to a question about strategies for addressing the nation's unemployment issue by stating that the biggest issue right now is that the majority of the country's wealth is concentrated in the hands of three or four industrialists.
According to him, Congress would concentrate on developing small companies to boost employment possibilities in the nation.
Gandhi added that the nation's voice was being amplified by his ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra, a mass engagement campaign.
