TMC leader Mukul Roy is missing, reveals his son

According to insiders, the leader went'missing' on Sunday after a heated argument between Roy and his son.

    Digital Desk: Subhargshu
Roy, the son of prominent Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy, has stated that
his father has gone'missing'. Mukul Roy took an Indigo flight (GE-898) to Delhi
on Monday evening, according to Subhargshu Roy.

    The flight was scheduled
to arrive in Delhi at 9:55 p.m. today. According to his son, the seasoned
    commander could not be located.

    Subhragshu, the former
railway minister's son, told PTI that his father had been
"untraceable" and "missing" since late Monday evening.
"I haven't been able to contact my father until now." "He is
untraceable," stated Subhragshu, a TMC leader.

    According to insiders, the
leader went'missing' on Sunday after a heated argument between Roy and his son.
Mukul Roy, who has been suffering from health issues since his wife's death,
    was recently hospitalised in February.

    While his son, Subhargshu
Roy, stated that the family had filed a complaint with airport police, sources
in the police department confirmed that no formal complaint had been received
    as of yet.

    Roy, a former TMC number
two, joined the BJP in 2017 after clashing with the party's leadership. He was
appointed as the BJP's national vice-president.

Roy won the 2021 assembly polls on a BJP ticket and later returned to the TMC
    after the results were announced.

Roy, 68, has kept a quiet
profile since rejoining Mamata Banerjee's party from the BJP one and a half
years ago. He was a crucial figure in the BJP's Bengal strategy for the 2019
Lok Sabha elections, in which the saffron party won 18 of the state's 42 seats.

    Roy ran for the
Krishnanagar Uttar Assembly seat in Nadia district in the 2021 elections. He
won, but the BJP lost the election.
