Despite this, they were only able to secure a 12-run victory. The Kiwi all-rounder pair of Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner gave the Indian side a push for their money by scoring 162 runs for the seventh wicket, but ultimately they failed to take their side over the line.

In a must-win game to keep the series alive, the Kiwis will look to improve their previous performance, while the Indian squad will look to bat and bowl more effectively than they did previously.
