    Taliban beheads junior volleyball player of National Team

    Kabul:  A coach of Afghanistan’s junior women’s national volleyball team has said that a member of the team was brutally beheaded by a Taliban militant group.    





    He made this revelation about this gruesome murder while giving an interview to a media organization.





    During the interview, he stated that a women player named Mahjabin Hakimi was brutally killed by this radical force earlier in October. He also added that her family was threatened not to talk about this to anyone.





    The coach also said that only two of its players were able to escape from the country after the Taliban takeover, leaving behind Hakimi and many others like her.

    According to reports she played for the Kabul Municipality Volleyball Club. Her death has fuelled fears among athletes of the country who are being targeted by the Taliban militants.





    In view of the current situation, the FIFA and the Qatar government extended their help to stranded players by evacuating 100 women footballers, including coaches and family members from the country in the past week.





    The interviewed coach has also added that all the players of the team and other women athletes in the country are living in a very bad condition at the moment.
