Digital Desk: The headmaster of a government primary school in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, had been suspended for allegedly engaging in obscene activities in front of students while in a drunken state, an official stated on Wednesday.
According to a video, Durga Prasad Jaiswal, a teacher at Shivpur Bairagi Primary School in Visheshwarganj block, was seen drunk and sleeping naked in class.
According to the officials, the veracity of the video that went viral has not yet been determined.
Parents and locals who were outraged stated that Durga Jaiswal frequently engaged in inappropriate behavior in front of the students. They said the headmaster takes off his clothes in class and rests. Even the girl students stopped going to school because of such embarrassing actions.

Following the block education officer's investigation into the complaint, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) ordered Durga Jaiswal's suspension.
BSA Avyakt Ram Tiwari stated "We got a complaint against Durga Prasad Jaiswal, primary school teacher and headmaster in Shivpur Bairagi Basik School of Visheshwarganj block, that he comes to school in an inebriated state. A video of the same also surfaced recently. However, the video is yet to be verified. He was suspended on July 24 on the basis of a preliminary inquiry conducted by the block education officer."
"A departmental inquiry is being conducted. If necessary, an FIR will also be lodged against the headmaster," the BSA said.
