Noida has been the scene of a heated brawl once again when vandalism threats were raised inside Lord of the Drinks, one of the mall's best-known bars after a dubbed version of the Ramayana was played there.
A video of the TV show Ramayana playing on the screen inside the Lord of the Drinks restaurant and bar, which is located in the Gardens Galleria mall in Noida Sector 38, Uttar Pradesh, is doing the rounds on social media.
The original audio was purportedly erased from the Ramayan video that was playing on the television. The viral video featured the demon king Ravana and Lord Ram in their respective characters, with contemporary music playing in the background.
The dubbed Ramayan video received a lot of backlashes on
social media with many calling for a boycott of the Noida bar and club. The video was criticised by many people, and an FIR was filed against the club's employees as a result.
Notably, Noida Police further informed that an FIR has been registered in the Ramayan dubbed video matter, and one person has been detained in connection with it. The Lord of the Drinks bar's proprietor and DJ have both been charged in the case.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Shakti Avasthy said, “The video went viral on social media on Monday morning and is claimed to be from Lord of the Drinks resto-bar located in the Gardens Galleria mall. Taking cognisance of the matter promptly, an FIR was launched at Sector 39 police station.”
Social media users threatened to vandalise the bar after the Lord of the Drinks Ramayan video went viral because they felt the clip harmed their feelings and made fun of Hinduism.
