Joe Alwyn-Taylor Swift part ways after six years of dating

Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift decided to part ways after dating for six years....

Digital Desk: American singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift, is blazing in her career with her Era Tour, the US leg of which has sold out, but her love affairs remain unstable, as Swift recently broke up with Stars at Noon actor Joe Alwyn after dating for 6 years.

According to People, a US-based media outlet, a close insider to the couple has verified the couple's split. Joe was also absent from all of the Era Tour concerts. A few weeks ago, the couple split up. "It wasn't dramatic. [The relationship] just ran its course," a source stated to page Six. Swift has never commented on the status of her relationship, and Joe also never responded firmly to the dating rumours. But multiple events consistently showed how much in love the pair was.

Joe has always used sarcasm when responding to requests from the media for confirmation of the relation. When asked about getting engaged to the singer-songwriter, he replied, "If I had a pound for each time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins. I mean, the fact is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn't say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn't say."

The couple started dating in 2016, although they keep their relationship private most of the time. The 10-time Grammy winner and Harriet star have only made a few public appearances together over the years. Since they have always been friends through music, they worked together on various songs during the pandemic.

Joe and Swift collaborated on the 2020 Sister albums Folklore and Evermore, which earned them a GRAMMY for Folklore and a nomination for Evermore in the same category in the 2022 ceremony. Joe wrote under the pen name William Bowery.

In her Oscar acceptance speech, the You Belong With Me singer mentioned Joe, saying, "Joe is the first person I play every single song that I write, and I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine," reflecting her love and appreciation for the actor.
