Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again secured his position as the most popular global leader, surpassing US President Joe Biden and the newly appointed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Morning Consult, a global decision intelligence firm that monitors the major decisions of world leaders, recently released its latest rankings based on data collected from July 8-14. According to the firm, PM Modi achieved the top spot with an approval rating of 69 percent, while Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador followed with a 63 percent approval rating.
The firm's website notes that these ratings reflect a seven-day moving average of public opinion from each surveyed country. At the bottom of the list of 25 leaders is Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who has an approval rating of 16 percent.
PM Modi has consistently led global rankings in previous surveys as well. In contrast, the approval ratings for other major global leaders are comparatively lower. US President Joe Biden stands at 39 percent, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau at 29 percent, UK PM Keir Starmer at 45 percent, and French President Emmanuel Macron at 20 percent.
