RCB finally joined the list of IPL winners after 18-long-years following their triumph over Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Breaking the trophy drought of the cash-rich tournament, RCB defeated PBKS by 6 runs in a thrilling encounter.
Coming to bat first, RCB scored 190 runs, with Virat Kohli scoring 43 off 35 balls. Skipper Rajat Patidar scored 26 runs off 16 balls. While Arshdeep Singh (3/40) and Kyle Jamieson (3/48) led the bowling department for PBKS.
Chasing the target of 191 runs, PBKS started well but failed to put a fine show. Priyansh Arya scored 24 runs off 19 balls and Prabhsimran 26 runs off 22 balls. Krunal Pandya (2/17), Yash Dayal (1/18), and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/38) restricted PBKS to 184/7 to guide RCB to victory in the final showdown.
The RCB IPL 2025 victory parade will begin on June 4 around 5 PM at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, with an event at the Chinnaswamy Stadium at 6 PM.
