After Indigo and Alliance Air, SpiceJet has become the third airline to begin scheduled flights from Shillong...
Digital Desk: The Airline official stated that SpiceJet has commenced direct flights from Delhi to Shillong on Saturday.
The Delhi-Shillong service will operate on Mondays and Fridays, according to the airline. "On Friday, the maiden flight from Delhi arrived at the airport here with 18 passengers. The same flight with 12 departing
passengers took off," an airport official told PTI.
Senior government officials, including MTC Director KL Nongbri and Transport Department Secretary H Kharmalki, were present, the official said.
After Indigo and Alliance Air, SpiceJet is the third airline to begin scheduled flights from Shillong.
SpiceJet and the Meghalaya government signed an agreement in January to connect the Meghalaya capital with the national capital.
Before, Fly Big Airlines ran the Shillong-Delhi route, but an agreement with them was terminated last year.
