Digital Desk: The Uttar Pradesh ATS has arrested two alleged self-radicalized terrorists from Aligarh who are reportedly connected to ISIS and recovered banned material from them, a top official informed on Monday.
The ATS had been informed that some radicalised people were engaging in anti-national acts and, at the direction of their ISIS handlers, were organising a group of like-minded people to join a Jihadi group.

On Sunday, following thorough investigations, Maaz bin Tariq and Abdullah Arsalan were taken into custody from different locations in Aligarh.
A mobile phone, pen drive, and prohibited ISIS literature were seized from Arslan, while from Tariq's possession, an iPhone and an Android phone were recovered. According to the ADG, both accused had taken an oath of ISIS, the ADG said.
Moreover, printed materials related to ISIS and AQIS (Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent) as well as a pen drive filled with propaganda from the group were seized from their possession.
According to him, multiple anti-national and terror supporter groups were found on the electronic equipment that was taken from them. These groups were involved in the sharing of banned literature.
After being detained and brought before the court, both the accused were sent to judicial custody. The ADG stated that the accused's police custody has been sought in order to question them and uncover their network.
