Digital Desk: Gurugram authorities imposed Section 144 in the district after protests against the Agnipath scheme reached the National Capital Region (NCR).

The Gurugram DM's directive indicated that those who violated the order would face severe consequences.

Notably, as the protests grew more violent, the Delhi Metro authorities shut down some metro stations in the national capital.
Following a protest in Delhi by the All India Students' Association against the Agnipath scheme, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) temporarily closed some gates at ITO station, Dhansa Bus Stand Metro station, and Jama Masjid Metro station. The gates were later reopened for commuters.

Army aspirants took to the streets in numerous towns across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to protest the Centre's Agnipath army recruiting scheme, citing concerns over pensions and security after four years.
On Friday, nationwide protests against the scheme continued in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. The demonstrators are mostly young people who are expressing their discontent.
