Digital Desk: The customs department has seized the most expensive watch ever at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. A passenger has also been detained for alleged smuggling.
The officials have filed a smuggling case and recovered seven highly expensive wristwatches, among other priceless objects. One iPhone 14 Pr0 256 GB and a diamond-studded gold bracelet are among the other goods seized. The price of one of the watches is extraordinarily exorbitant.
Officials claimed that the highly expensive watch is a custom-made accessory made of gold and studded with diamonds. The seizure was made on October 4. Smuggling charges have been filed. The costly items have been seized from an Indian national who arrived in India from Dubai.
With the aid of Advance Person Information System (APIS) profiling, the passenger was identified. Seven wrist watches of various brands were recovered after the traveller and his luggage underwent a thorough inspection.

According to section 110 of the 1962 Customs Act, the said recovered commodities have been seized. The passenger has been placed under arrest in terms of Section 104 of the Customs Act, 1962 as the offense being non-bailable committed by him is covered under 135 of the Customs Act, 1962.
