There are presently only last-minute inspections remaining before the waterfall implosion technology brings down the Noida twin skyscrapers in less than 15 seconds.
After nine years of legal battles, the 40-story Apex and Ceyanne towers are scheduled to be demolished at 2:30 pm on Sunday.
Here is the information you need to know about the Supertech Twin Tower destruction as their conflict draws to a close in a few hours:
-There are currently only final inspections remaining before the waterfall implosion process, which is a technique deemed safe by specialists, brings down the Noida twin towers in less than 15 seconds. According to officials, they will be India's tallest structures to be razed to the ground to date.
-Following a Supreme Court order that deemed their construction within the grounds of the Emerald Court society to be in breach of standards, more than 3,700 kg of explosives would be used to bring the structures down.
-As instructed, residents have already begun to leave the area. By 7 am on Sunday, almost 5,000 inhabitants of Emerald Court and the surrounding ATS Village communities in Sector 93A must abandon their homes, along with nearly 3,000 vehicles and 150-200 pets, including cats and dogs, for the day.
-The Emerald Court Society's Aster 2 and Aster 3 buildings are only nine metres away from the twin towers. According to officials, the demolition will be done in such a way that no structural damage to other buildings is caused.
- Diversions will be put in place on roads leading to the twin towers in Noida Sector 93A beginning Sunday morning, while the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, which is only 200 metres from the demolition site, will be closed to motorized vehicles from 2 to 3 p.m., according to DCP (Traffic) Ganesh Saha.
- Four mechanical sweeping machines have been deployed at the authority level for cleanliness in the affected areas, along with 100 sanitation workers. Aside from that, 50 water tankers have been arranged to wash the affected area's roads, footpaths, central verges, and trees and plants.
The Supertech twin towers, two 40-storey buildings in Noida's Sector 93A, were designed to house over 900 families with a combined area of over 7.5 lakh sqft.
- With a total built-up area of approximately 7.5 lakh square feet, the total demolition cost, including explosives, will be approximately Rs 20 crore.
The waterfall implosion method will be used to bring down towers, and the buildings will collapse inward. This will leave 55,000 tonnes of debris, or 3,000 trucks, to be managed. It will take approximately three months to clear the debris.
- Only six people, including three foreign experts, Indian blaster Chetan Dutta, a police office, will remain within the exclusion zone to detonate the bomb that will bring down the Noida twin towers.
