Friday morning after a gunshot was discharged from a Nagaland Police constable's
duty pistol as he interfered in an altercation, according to police.
The altercation resulted in minor injuries to two people,
according to the police. "A fight broke out about 9.40 a.m. between two
advocates, Sanjeev Chaudhary and Rishi Chopra, and a prominent figure, Rohit
Beri. They reached gate number 8, where the battle persisted, throughout the
altercation "Pranav Tayal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini), said.

According to the DCP, a Nagaland Police constable stationed
at the gate interfered in the incident and fired a round from his service
weapon, which struck the ground. According to him, two persons were injured by
concrete projectiles as a result of the shot being fired. According to the
authorities, an inquiry is ongoing to determine whether or not the shooting was
accidental.
