Punjab Chief Minister Drunk on Plane? Aviation Minister J Scindia Says...

Digital Desk: Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said
on Tuesday that he will investigate allegations that Punjab Chief Minister
Bhagwant Mann was kicked off a flight from Frankfurt to Delhi because he was
"drunk." The minister stated that it was critical to confirm the facts.

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal claimed on
Monday that Mr Mann was deplaned from a Lufthansa flight at Frankfurt Airport
due to inebriation. Partap Singh Bajwa, a Congress leader, also requested an
investigation and wrote to Mr Scindia.

"This was an incident on international soil; we will
have to verify the facts; it is up to Lufthansa to provide the data; based on
the request that has been sent to me, I will certainly look into it," Mr
Scindia told reporters on the sidelines of an event.

The opposition's charge has been dismissed by the Aam Aadmi
Party (AAP) as baseless and bogus.
