"Don't spoil history for your politics" Netaji's grandson slams over Kangna's first PM remark

Digital desk: Actress and BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut came under criticism from the family of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose for her "Netaji first Prime Minister of India" remark.

Grand-nephew of Subhas Chandra Bose, Chandra Kumar Bose, shared a post on X and stated, "No one should "distort history for their political desire."

Chandra Kumar Bose mentioned in his post, "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a political thinker, soldier, statesman, visionary and the 1st PM of undivided India. The only leader who could unite all communities as Bharatiyas to fight for India’s freedom. Real respect to the leader would be to follow his inclusive ideology."

Notably, in September last year, Chandra Kumar Bose announced his resignation from the BJP, citing a disparity in values between the party and himself. He had resigned amid the India-Bharat dispute.

His comments followed Kangana Ranaut's social media backlash against trolls for her remarks regarding Netaji. Ranaut is the BJP's nominee for Lok Sabha from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

Kangana Ranaut asked people who were making fun of her to study the historical account after she shared a screenshot of a news article on X. According to the article, Netaji established the Azad Hind government in Singapore in 1943 and declared himself the country's first prime minister.

The 37-year-old actor-turned-politician was heard in a video referring to Netaji as India's first prime minister, which incited the trolls. "If I speak way ahead of your IQ you assume I must be uninformed, well the joke is on you and it’s a lame one!! (yawn)," she wrote on X.

Kangana Ranaut was criticized by a few opposition leaders for her statement. Without mentioning the BJP candidate, BRS leader and former Telangana Chief Minister's son KT Rama Rao made fun of her on X.
