Digital Desk: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) declared the squad for the Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai for the 2022–23 campaign on Sunday.
It is planned for January 10 to host the Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai. The team selection was announced in a formal release.
The Assam Senior Cricket Team has chosen 15 players, including captain Gokul Sharma, Subham Mondal, Rishav Das, Riyan Parag, Sib Sankar Roy, Sarupam Purkayastha, Hridip Deka, Siddharth Sarmah, Abhishek Thakuri (wicket-keeper), Nasir Ullah, Sunil Lachit, Mukhtar Hussain, Rahul Hazarika, Ranjeet
Two players have also been kept on standby. They are Rajjakuddin Ahmed and Roshan Alam. Coach-cum-Manager Mr. Salil Sinha, Head Coach Mr. Trevor Gonsalves, Coach Mr. Subhrajit Saikia, Physio Mr. Koustob Bharadwaj, Trainer Mr. Bhaskar Borah, and Video Analyst Mr. Rajesh Sarma will also be part of the support staff travelling with the team.

The Senior Women's One Day Tournament, which is being organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will start on January 18 in Nagpur.
The Assam State Team is led by Captain Nirupoma Baro and comprises Vice Captain Uma Chetry, Wicket Keeper Hiramoni Saikia, Papori Gogoi, Monikha Das, Ruhina Pegu, Rashmi Dey, Gyanashree Barman, and Khushi Sarmah. Other members are Gayatri Gurung, Hemlata Payeng, Priyanka Baruah, Urmila Chatterjee.
Kalpana Choutal, Maini Payeng, Rupashree Saikia, Nibedita Baruah, and Karabi Bhakta are the players on standby.
Head Coach Marie Clare, Coach Situ Das, Physio Ms. Pooja Swar, Trainer Mr. Bhavanesh Kumar, and Sports Psychologist Ms. Tribenee Bhattacharyya will also be travelling with the team as support staff.
